Do solar panels still work on cloudy days?
Yes! Solar panels are designed to capture and diffuse indirect sunlight.
What happens when it snows?
The snow will slide off your panels due to the slick glass, angle of the panels, and heat radiated from the dark panels. Just sit back and let the snow slide off of them.
How long do solar panels last?
On average, a solar system will keep producing at a high output for 25-30 years. Even after that they will keep producing power.
Is my roof too old?
For us to install a solar system on your roof we recommend that there is still 10+ years of life left in it. However, if your roof needs to be replaced, our roofing division Apex Roofingcan help! They install asphalt shingle and metal roofs.
Also, you will be able to apply tax credits to the portion of your roof that has solar panels on it, if you replace your roof and go solar at the same time. That means extra savings in your pocket!
What are the federal and state incentives?
The current federal incentive is 26% of your total system cost. The state incentives depend on the state that you are living in. However, all of the states that we service have an incentive for going solar that is beneficial for you.
